When big things happen we tend to evaluate what is going on in our own little world.
I have always said your own problems always feel like the biggest problems. They may seem small to others. And that is ok. Because you are the one dealing with the issue at hand.
That isn’t to say that anyone’s problems are bigger or smaller than anyone else’s. Just different to each individual, and the way we cope with our emotions.
I feel it pretty safe to say through my life we have experienced some pretty big stuff. Things that have helped us stop and realize what is most important in life. To try not to sweat the small stuff, life is too short and we should try our best to enjoy it as much as we can. It has helped us realise we are stronger than we think. That the big stuff we go through helps build our strength, builds our resilience.
But then there are issues that affect everyone in the community, our country, or world.
There are some major stuff hitting the fan in Australia atm. We are in a crazy dry, hot season. We as humans are naturally wired to want to pull together and help others in need when stuff seriously hits the fan!
And the world has done just that. People all around have rallied around to help those in need. They have put their own things on hold, while they help others in need. All walks of life are proving how strong there are, fighting to save lives, fighting to save homes.
Are there things that we could do in our day to day life to help make someone else’s easier? It could be as sample as saying hi. It could be donating to those in needed. It could be sitting and having a chat with a friend, letting them unload their stuff onto you for a few minutes.
