Group fitness
Walking into a group fitness class for the first time is scary af.
I take my hat off to every single person that does it. I still remember the feeling when I went to my first class!
Everyone will be fitter than me!
The instructor looks amazing!
I cant do that, I don’t look like the instructor when I move that way?
Are they looking at me? Is Everyone watching me? Is Everyone judging me?
Guess what! They aren’t, she works hard to look amazing, no one looks like the instructor, and there is always an instructor that looks better than the one you’re looking at, and don’t forget that the instructor compares them self too!
The instructor has been practicing that move for months, years so she/he can show you the correct way to do it. Everyone is so wrapped up in their own workout, their own concerns they don’t even notice you, and if they do they are applauding you in their heads for coming along.
All these things that go through our heads, and stop us from going to a class, is just that - all in our head. Everyone starts somewhere, everyone is still striving for their goals no matter what stages they are at. The hardest step is that first step through the door, once the music is on, you get lost in it and are too busy moving your body for your brain to think all these things.
