Wall flower....

For most of my life I have been the shy one, the one that stood back at parties and school etc. Only my close friends that took time to break through my shyness would know me well, or at all really!

Then I started an at home business that forced me out of my comfort zone. Then the next step was working on my fitness which helped me grow even more confidence. Enough confidence to step way out of my comfort zone and study to be a PT.

Even though I am more confident now, sometimes I drop back into that quiet shy me. The one that is scared to say hello, the one that feels awkward in social situations who says nothing, or says some stupid 💩 that just makes me embarrassed and stop talking!

It is easy to read this behavior as snobbish, or stand offish. Where in actual fact I would love to say hi, I would love to get to know the people in front of me more, it just that old lack of self confidence, and shyness that comes out.

Next time you met someone that appears this way, maybe make an extra effort to say hi, and, if you can, stop and chat. Help make that person feel more confident and comfortable.
